One thing I have found that has truly sparked my students' interest, curiosity, and discourse is interactive read alouds projects. They become so engaged by listening, thinking, and sharing. Sometime we laugh, cry, or think critically; but most importantly we are reading and learning. I want to increase the books I have in my classroom to continue my read aloud projects, as well as books that kids can have in their hands for small groups and independent reading. We will use these book together as an entire class and in small groups.
