These chairs will be another example of a flexible setting option in my classroom. Students can choose to sit in these wobble chairs during whole group instruction, but they will always be placed at the back table for small group time. In having these seats, students can wobble and get out their energy. This will allow them to focus on the lesson at hand!
In letting students wiggle and wobble during the lesson, they can focus their academic capacity on their learning, not their movement. These chairs will allow them to do just that.
Flexible seating allows for student choice and autonomy in the classroom, further creating classroom community. I am excited to give my students more options in where they sit throughout the day and how to move so they can focus better.
