Through the use of digital escape rooms, students will build their math skills and self-confidence. These games perfectly match our math and science 5th grade standards and make it fun in a non-threatening way. Students will use reasoning and analyzing skills when they do not get the correct answers in order to move on.
They will also benefit from the current science articles. These articles allow a blend of science and reading in order for the student to process the knowledge on their own. We then will have a whole class circle discussion on what they took from the articles. This will help them practice the ability to have a science conversation and to debate with evidence.
