We meet once a week after school. Club members read beforehand and answer a few questions. We use the questions to help guide our discussions. Our discussions include what we felt as the story unfolded and/or new vocabulary we found challenging.
In fact, club members come in with a list of unknown words they found as they read and also the definitions they found so we can, in turn, talk about those same words and see if we can come up with the right definition as a group.
These books will help enrich their hearts and minds with a literacy experience that only comes through the joy of reading together as a club!
