The large easel will be placed in the front of my classroom on the carpet which is a gathering place in my classroom. We conduct whole group instruction, mini-lessons and read alouds daily on the carpet. This is also a place where students complete centers for math and writing.
Having an easel for my students will allow my students to be more engaged during instructional and independent times.
I will use the easel to hold pocket charts to practice sorting, sequence stories and visualize new vocabulary. The large easel will also allow me to have large chart paper to create anchor charts as well as give students a place to focus on their thoughts and ideas.
