Through the incorporation of sensory items, games, flashcards and toys my students will be able to gain the learning readiness skills to self regulate. It is important to cater to the students needs in a fun and loving way in order to meet their basic necessities. The subjects to address include English language arts, reading, counting, fine motor, gross motor and sensory. Items such as the Phonemic Awareness Folder Game Library and Pete the Cat Phonics Box book set will help the students learn some new phonics reading skills. Items like the Giant Alphabet Beads will help with letter recognition and help expand the students' fine motor skills. Items such as the Addition Family Engagement Packs will help with their addition skills, comparing numbers game and the Pete the Cat Cool Cat Math Game will expand and engage them in arithmetic knowledge.
It is as crucial to keep students engaged in what they are learning, as well as how they are learning. Through the usage of items such as the foam beads and parachutes, I will reinforce expected behaviors to help the students reach their potential as well as develop their motor skills.
