Wonder is a novel by R.J. Palacio that I have fallen in love with! It is about a middle school boy with a physical deformity who constantly struggles to fit in. Don't worry, I won't spoil it for you any more! If you haven't read it already, then I highly recommend adding it to your list! I would like to use this book for an in-depth novel study with my 4th grade students. Many of my students will be able to relate to the story. By connecting to a protagonist who is also different and learns to overcome the middle school blues, my goal is to inspire my students to find their own way to do the same. You are also giving my students the opportunity to fall in love with reading!
