This book will help us to create a unit that will prepare our students for future academic endeavors, as well as help us address relevant topics of today. Additionally, we plan to partner with a local University to create a dialogue between middle school students and college students about current literature and topics, such as if issues regarding race still exist in our world today.
Our students will delve deep into the novel, Dear Martin, and participate in a range of collaborative discussions, while also analyzing the structure and creative choices made by the author to evoke the message of the novel.
