As a Teacher working with Special Needs students, I will grow professionally by completing an assessment and a component (module) that provide various scenarios of such students and how to best assist them in attacking content areas. I will use real-life examples for teaching. I will use hands-on practice assignments. I will also learn and grow in the area of using data from student work samples and assessments to re-create work for my students so that they will have the opportunity to relook their concepts. I will grow also by collaborating with other teachers/school staff and gain Insight on ways to meet my students’ needs. The students will benefit by learning different approaches to attack the content and will be able to see the relevance to their lives in what they are learning, ultimately improving their self-confidence as well as their desire to succeed and exceed academically.
