This project will put a ukulele into the hands of twenty-five third grade students, and provide many students the opportunity to play in the years to come. I'm requesting Learn To Play Ukulele Starter Kits, Soprano Ukulele Strings, and Clip-On Tuners for students to participate in weekly lessons.
Music not only benefits academic learning, but promotes a student's sense of belonging through a shared experience with their classmates. This project would also provide students with the opportunity to experience the arts in a way they might not have access to outside of school.
