In a poverty-stricken school district where a majority of my students hop from shelter to shelter or move monthly between family members, the cupboards of their homes are often filled with chips and cookies Most of my second grade students only nutritional meals are received at school. When a student is late to breakfast or lunch it is very difficult for them to focus and learn core material. Your generous donation will help keep our snack basket full of healthy snack options. Each of these snack options that I have requested are individually wrapped due to COVID-19 precautions. This will help insure snack time is safe for my student, as well as let them enjoy their healthy, kid-friendly snack to fuel their bodies for a long school day full of learning.
