The dumbbell set will allow individualized strength training that is appropriate for middle school students. This will allow my students to complete more sport specific exercises and gear their workout to the appropriate age and gender group we are addressing.
The dumbbells will allow free weights to be used in our workouts.

We are focusing on the five components of fitness: muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and body composition. These weights will be accessible to the entire student body during physical education classes and an afternoon fitness club that meets 2-3 days a week.
