The students who are in our classroom have a variety of disabilities that create challenges for them when learning. By providing alternative seating options, I hope to give my students the ability to choose where they learn best. The wobble stools and rocker chairs are easily wiped down for sanitizing each day so another student can try it out.
Students can practice good coping strategies by choosing what type of seating allows them to learn best. Each day they will be allowed to choose a type of seating, and they may change their seating preferences based on their own needs. Help give my students the ability to practice self-determination and decision-making while giving them a variety of seating options to meet their varying needs.
