My classroom needs the necessary equipment to effectively deliver small group instruction. A half moon table will allow me to work closely with my students in groups of six or less at a time. During these small group lessons, students will focus on reaching their reading and math goals by working on specific skills and strategies. A half moon table promotes a positive learning experience. Currently, my students use a trapezoid shaped table during small group instruction. This table is small so there is not enough room for a small group to work effectively.
Within a small group setting, students will be able to remain on task and actively participate with the concept at hand.
Students will also utilize this table in cooperative learning groups, conferences, and for flexible seating. I would love to provide a flexible learning environment for my students.
I have collected some items thus far, such as exercise balls, lap desks and cushions. My wish is to continue providing additional items, such as wobble chairs and stools to best support each student. When students are comfortable, they are more focused, engaged, and ready to learn!
Please consider supporting my students and I!
