Children learn best through play and peer interactions. That is why I want to bring more fun into my classroom using classic board games. Board games are easy to implement for review and contribute to high engagement in the classroom. Studies have shown that board games are a great teaching strategy because games by definition offer the opportunity to think, react, adapt, master, compete, and laugh all the way through. Research also suggests that board games can be helpful in building social skills and self-esteem, as well as teach kids about rules, competition, fair play, and values.
These are life long skills that are necessary way beyond the school setting! Thank you for helping me teach students the importance of working together for a come good...fun!
