These books will allow high school students to continue their love of reading and share that love with other students in the school. It also helps these students begin building their own personal libraries and a lifelong love of literacy. The members of the high school book club voluntarily meet weekly to discuss the selected book that they have read. Since becoming a teacher in this area, I have made one of my top goals having a large library that covers the range of reading levels found in my class. I have also provided students with a variety of books. This project will allow students to participate in a meaningful book club. Having these books gives them a focus for spreading their love of reading to students who have not yet been hooked.
