I have amazing future gymnasts in the making. They are passionate about physical education and learning how to control their bodies. Prior to the pandemic, I had all students want to learn how to cartwheel, front flip, backbend, and tumble. Having a set of gymnastics mats would support me in providing comfort to those students who are more hesitant in learning on the grass.
The lessons I have in mind is teaching body control and a life long skill of safety and injury prevention. Students will learn how to be more confident in their body control and explore ways to balance, move, and stretch their bodies. Lastly, learning how to tumble and roll when you trip a fall can be the difference between a broken collar bone to a few scrapes and scratches.
