I believe their own space is crucial because it’s potentially the only space that is "theirs".
Students are at the rug during instruction a lot during the day. I believe their own learning spot supports greater participation. As for flexible seating, I also believe students retain information better in alternative seats.
My students are artists in the making. Their love for free drawing and creativity blow me away everyday. The notebooks would allow for them to grow that creativity.
Each of my students have an iPad. The headphones would benefit learning as the classroom would be quiet as they are on math and reading apps.
