Students (and adults) tend to work better when they are at ease. I want to provide seating that will allow my students to feel at ease in my classroom. Middle school students in particular are growing like crazy, so they will greatly benefit from being able to stretch their legs out while also teaching them to share space rather than be possessive over "my space."
Students can read, write, or work in comfortable seating rather than rigid desks set in cemetery rows. A relaxing work environment will positively impact not only student learning, but also their perspective of school in general.
