My project is to purchase colored ink to be able to make visual supports. Visuals supports use pictures to convey messages that non-verbal students can more easily understand. Visuals are concrete representations of information. Colored pictures convey the messages more clearly than those in black and white.
Visual supports can promote independence and support behavior needs. Visuals help students express their wants and needs. Also, visual supports are proven to better support students with special needs communicate with those around them.
I will use the ink to create visuals that will help my students be able to better express themselves and understand the world around them.
