I'm a bilingual teacher of science and reading. My goal is for my students to increase their reading skills. Reading skills are very important and will help them accomplish more in all the subjects. This year I started a challenge called #classroombookaday in which I read every day a book to our students. This means we will have read 180 book in my classroom by the end of this year. This has really stimulated them to enjoy more reading and knowing the importance of reading and comprehension.
I want them to enjoy more their read to self time and with this flexible seating they will be able to accomplish it.
I believe this flexible seating will also help them increase their stamina, and this will help them perform better during the state assessments.
I like my classroom to be a place where my students feel welcomed and safe, where they want to ask question and where we can all learn together.
