Sensory rooms help teach children with autism and other behavioral health challenges to regulate their bodies in a way that allows them to achieve success in the classroom and provide life skills needed to flourish and grow in life.
Teachers will monitor and guide students in the sensory room by providing additional lessons in age appropriate social skills (taking turns, waiting for a preferred activity and sharing materials) as well as learning critical life skills and self regulation lessons. Time in a sensory room helps children improve their visual, auditory and tactile processing, as well as fine and gross motor skills.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Thank you
