Light covers, ocean lights, sensory tubes, and other sensory objects help students with special needs feel calm and help them concentrate on the task at hand. They can use these items to regain focus and to calm down. The bands help them get the wiggles out while learning.
Workbooks to teach math that they will use outside of school are important. They should learn to count change and know how to budget.
Life and social skills books help me teach them how to handle themselves in all kinds of situations. This is a big goal for my students.
