My students come from all backgrounds. I have students with special needs as well as an English Language learner in my generally education class. To help support my students further, they need many means of exposure to literacy. I have many hand made literacy centers along with computers but found that there was one missing piece: the listening center!!! With more exposure to literacy I believe my students will get a chance at becoming better readers as well as critical thinkers. A listening center will help my student with fluency, decoding, engage in the text as well as expose them to new vocabulary. It will also lend itself to group discussions about the text they just heard!

About my class
