Having growth mindset (the belief that you are in control of your own ability and can learn and improve) is the key to success. These journals are designed to help my students develop a positive, optimistic approach toward learning.
The journals feature 180 daily activities including 36 weekly reading passages. We will be using these journals during our 30 minutes of morning meeting time. During this time students will not only learn skills to developing growth mindset and social emotional skills but will also be using important literacy skills to complete the journals such as reading, writing, listening and sharing.
