By funding my project, you will help equip my students with supplies needed to immerse them in various escape rooms. With 100+ students, the cost of supplies for escape rooms quickly adds up, but the engagement and interest that they provide to my students are worth the investment! These escape rooms provide my students with a unique way of being assessed, but they also encourage critical thinking and collaboration. The escape rooms are always a fan favorite, but they are my favorite because they ALWAYS engage every student in the classroom somehow some way. I have many future scientists that I teach every single day, and I hope to continue to develop their love and curiosity for the sciences.
By funding this project, you will give my students many opportunities to participate in escape rooms. The project materials will be used as follows: the tablets will be used by group members to access a Google Form to check the codes they come up with, both types of locks will be used on lock boxes that the students have to 鈥渃rack鈥 in order to access the puzzles, the clipboards will give each student a surface to write on while moving about the room, and the clipboard organizers will allow me to keep the materials organized for easy access.
