We read in my classroom everyday and we are in short supply of books that are more inclusive of my spanish speaking students and parents. These books will allow the children to look at, read, and hear stories that are in their primary language. We also encourage parents to participate daily in classroom activities like reading to children and these books will allow our parents who only speak/ read in Spanish to feel comfortable enough to take part in these activities. Children love to have their parents come visit the classroom. As for the book tree it will provide a space saving and interesting way to house these new books as we have limited space in our classroom. I will create a comfortable area around the book case tree where students can be excited to sit and look at or read books.
