Our school has been given the opportunity to integrate a new reading, writing and phonics curriculum and we need your help getting organized! With these great new programs, there is the need to find a systematic way to keep it coordinated and student-friendly. A well-organized classroom sends a clear and positive message to students and allows them to feel that our classroom was created with their specific needs in mind. An organized classroom allows for there to be a daily structural routine, which prepares students to become independent learners. The tools that we are requesting include items such as binders, folder tabs, 3-prong folders, labels, permanent markers, and magnets. Each of these pieces works together in harmony to support the implementation of our reading, writing and phonics curriculum
In addition to getting our curriculum organized, we need new mentor texts to support student learning. These texts are unique in their content as well as their general availability. Some of the best things about the texts I seek is that they'll support eight kindergarten and first-grade classrooms, while also being versatile enough to apply to a variety of subject areas (literacy, science, math, etc.).
