The clay will be used to create a plant cell, animal cell and prokaryotic cell, in order to make the learning of these cells tangible and concrete. These materials will make cells more understandable and hands-on. Although, students can see cells in a microscope, the clay models they create will help the concepts become concrete.
I believe that using this clay will make an indelible impression on the students' minds regarding cells and the functions of the organelles. The clay will be used to create the cells and each of their parts to include DNA and RNA. I will be able to easily check their understanding of these concepts.
