Keeping students engaged as middle and high schoolers can be a challenge. Keeping these children motivated when learning does not come easily is even more of a challenge.
Using high-interest materials like LEGOs or games that do not look juvenile are key to helping older students learn age-appropriate skills at their own level. These sets of LEGO figurines will help my students to learn about members of the community including careers, roles/responsibilities, and community resources. The game will improve my students' vocabulary skills in a well-received format. By supporting this project you will be helping to fulfill the ultimate goal of education: to prepare students to be productive members of our community.
