My students rock! They are 6th and 7th grade students have a long of learning, represent learners in every ability level, and are very inquisitive. All love their cell phones, Wiis, iPods, and computers. Most are members of families that have been devastated by the economic downturn, but have such hopes for their future.
Our school is a middle school in Indiana, includes 6-8 grades. The transient population averages about 580 students. Approximately 70% qualify for free and reduced lunches. The school was built in 1960 was and was finally renovated in 2000 to accommodate rudimentary technology.
