Scholastic News is an awesome way to bring current events into any classroom. The children will delight in receiving mail on a weekly basis as this current events news magazine will arrive weekly and each and every child will receive their own copy! Our Social Studies curriculum is virtually nonexistent. Scholastic News will give us a way to discuss current events as well as many other Social Studies topics. I plan on using this as part of our Fun Friday to enrich our classroom. The children need to know what's going on in the world and Scholastic News will provide this opportunity!
