My students read for a mandatory 15 minutes each day. They are hungry for more diverse and engaging books that they can relate to. Nothing is better than picking up a book and identifying with the characters in it. Being able to relate to the characters in their struggles and successes is essential in engaging my students in reading. With this collection of books, I will be able to address the not only the strong reader, but also the reluctant one as well. It is my goal that my students have access to stories about all types of kids and across all genres. With this project, you will help promote a love for reading with my 6th graders!

About my class
