The school day can be long and hard for many students. This project will help build a more flexible learning environment in our 1st grade classroom. With the addition of several tools and devices such as floor chairs, surf desks and wobble cushions, students will be able to make a comfortable, private space. Students will be able to self-select the device or tool that will best support them as they face the task at hand. They will be encouraged to experiment with different seats or tools to see what is most fitting for the individual. Just as with adults, students have different learning preferences and needs. This project will help fulfill the individual learning needs of our many students!

About my class
