My students love to use their imagination but often have issues picturing how the skills they are learning (both academic and therapeutic) will be used as they grow. Virtual reality goggles can be used to practice both academic and therapeutic skills. Having students use these goggles would allow them to see what it might be like to visit The Natural History Museum, Africa, or even the moon. As they view each place they would be able to see what skills are being used in that career academically as well as socially such as viewing a zookeeper care for animals medically as well as socially/emotionally.
My students often have rough home lives so these materials will help these students escape their worries for some time and experience a new place they might not get a chance to go or build whatever their heart desires and just be a kid. Magnets are a huge choice of students to use during their play and free time as well as used as manipulatives during curriculum such as math and science. Lastly my students are a part of a program that services students in kindergarten through sixth grade and so curriculum for every different grade is at times hard to come by. This grammar practice book would expand my curriculum and be a better fit for my 5th grade students.
