Our goal is to not only create an outdoor classroom for all teachers to use, regardless of their subject, but to also use it for hands-on learning. This outdoor learning center will be home to various hands-on, living science activities. The plexiglass will be used to create see-through flower beds to allow students to study root development, tropism, and decomposition. Students will be able to take charge of their growth by volunteering to be caretakers to our gardens.
Exposing students to real life application does nothing but increase their excitement about coming to school. Who isn't excited by kids who are excited about school?
