Our school promotes autonomy over the classroom environment. Part of that is assigning jobs and making students responsible for their own materials and learning environment. Many students are now bringing home lunches due to the Covid safety. With that comes the task of getting numerous lunches to and from the playground and cafeteria. Each class also has separate recess supplies to be transported and sanitized daily. The carts allow for students to bring these materials on their own to where they are needed. They ease the burden of carrying a heavy basket to and from the areas.
