My students love to read, and they love to show their work. I want to find ways to make those to things not only fun for them, but less stressful. Right now, my reading center has hard, uncomfortable benches for them to sit on. It is not conducive to laying back and relaxing while you get lost in a great book. And the majority of my answer boards are missing handles or are flopping over where the handle meets the board. The students have to hold the boards together.
The 3 cushioned seats will allow my students to be more comfortable while they read in the reading center. The alternative seating will also allow them to move their seat to another area in the classroom and read or work quietly without a lot of hassle. The answer boards would be a great addition to group time. My students won't have to deal with torn up answer boards that don't hold up by themselves. They will be able to answer questions on a sturdy surface and flip the boards up instantly for a quick check. My students will love the comfort of the seats and the easy access and usage of the answer boards. It will help bring our classroom a step closer to perfection!
