I plan to utilize the books during read aloud and plan to create lessons revolving around the skills focused on in each book. We do many read alouds in our classroom, and they are highlights of our day. Our students have a student store once a week where they can spend points they have earned for positive behavior on fun fidgets and toys. It is highly motivating, and I am planning to use items in my donors choose project to replenish our prize box with incentivizing items. Token reinforcement systems are incredibly successful with students with behavioral challenges, and I am thrilled with the success we've made so far and hope to continue it as the year goes on!
