I am trying to implement a full time Kagan structured classroom in in my on level and advanced classes. The mundane desks do not promote togetherness, collaboration, or make it easy to work as teams. If I had tables in my classroom it would make it much easier for students to be assigned teams, roles, and learn together. High school students need maximum engagement and structure to retain their knowledge in class. I would love to be able to number each table, seat number, and letter them so I can easily manage my classroom and get them up and moving and learning daily.
