If I received the tablets and headphones I requested, I will download stories, and setup a default list of apps to help those who have no technology at home check these tablets out for home use. We cannot do that with school equipment now. These tools will help those with no tech resources at home to practice reading, fluency, phonics, writing basics, etc. I would estimate that half the students have resources at home but half do not. This will help to even out the advantage of technology at home. These tools and checkout system will help with the shame factor I see among students who don't have tech resources at home.
