These ukuleles will bring additional music experiences into the general music classroom and provide the students with the opportunity to play a stringed instrument.
I know my students will be excited to learn how to play the ukulele, as many of them would not have this opportunity otherwise.
We need 14 ukuleles, enough for half of a class, as they will be working in pairs cooperatively, assisting each other in learning. By playing ukuleles, we will be able to put into practice reading music, creating music, and practicing the elements of music. My students will also learn responsibility and accountability by handling and caring for the instruments.
