My students love to read in our classroom library! They particularly have enjoyed some books by Mo Willems that I borrowed from my local public library. The books are silly and fun but also contain meaningful lessons about friendship, creativity, and self-confidence. The characters (especially Pigeon) have captivated my early readers and motivated them to try sounding out words and telling the stories themselves. Using the finger puppets and plush characters, I hope the stories will be able to come to life for all the children in my class. I would love to have these books and materials so that my students could enjoy studying Mo Willems year after year!
