In my class, I have class investigators. We read a novel and then watch the movie made from the book. My plans for Just Mercy is to have my students find points in the book that they can argue a point of guilty or innocent. They will become the classroom layer. The groups will have stenographers, lawyers, a judge and a jury. The notebooks, paper and pencil will be used to record important information from the groups. This project will help my students understand the sensitivity of racial injustice in today's world.
