This “make a difference” grant will allow AHS to create branding materials (signs or graphic organizers) for the walls inside the classrooms and other areas around campus such as gymnasium, auditorium, hallways, and cafeteria. These similar signs or graphic organizers will be on display for students, staff, and community to reference each day.
Fulfilling this request will allow teachers to create a more positive learning environment that is focused on teaching desired behaviors rather than “punishing” undesirable behaviors. Students will be more successful and more productive by spending less time out of the classroom due to behavior issues. Teachers will be able to consistently and positively focus on the skills and behaviors that we want to teach our students so that they become independent, responsible adults.
