As we return to school for face to face instruction in the midst of this COVID-19 global
pandemic, my first grade students need a safe place to store their supplies and backpacks. Using our regular bookcase cubby holes during this pandemic won’t work because regular cubbies will invite groups to congregate and encourage the spread of COVID-19 in the classroom. By providing individual lidded storage bins that can sit next to student desks, I can help ensure my students safety by keeping supplies and backpacks at hand. Bins will also help lessen the need for students to cross the room or congregate around bookcase cubbies to get their supplies.
