I will use the ukuleles to engage students when learning to sing new songs and after they have mastered other instruments like the recorder and the xylophone. Also, we will use the ukuleles in school performances so that accompaniments can be student-centered. Specifically, our inaugural use of the ukuleles will be on our spring concert when we sing a medley that includes IZ’s arrangement of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. A class set of ukuleles will really bring our school’s music program to the next level of student involvement and joyful music-making! Thanks for your donation; this is something I have dreamed of for years.
