Anticipating the funding of our project, our students will become actively engaged in a hands-on approach to coding using Bee Bots as we explore the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Utilizing the Bee Bots, students will successfully navigate through a map in order to get from one destination to another. This activity will promote teamwork and higher order thinking skills. Bee Bots can also be used for sequencing, patterns, mathematics, and step by step instructions. Having had the literacy and mathematical knowledge provided through these other activities, it will equally be beneficial for our students to experience the application the Bee Bot skills allow to further understand these concepts. Hands-on materials allow for more student engagement throughout the learning process. I sincerely acknowledge your contribution to funding this project in advance.
