When I think about how to describe my students the best word to describe them is diverse. I have students of diverse ethnicities: Dominican, Mexican, African American, diverse personalities: timid, outgoing, jokers, and diverse learning styles: logical, musical, and kinesthetic. I have many English language learners, as well as many with special needs. They all love to learn and enjoy showing off what they know. Our school is a small school within a larger elementary school located in a high poverty inner city neighborhood. Despite many challenges my students have amazing spirits and always do their best.
