In our school, students are not allowed to bring their backpacks to class; they are to leave it in their lockers. That said, students can only carry so much. By getting these classroom books, students will be able to read books and magazines without having to worry if they left it at home or in their locker, thus being marked down for being "unprepared".
Additionally, these books will also give students the opportunity to broaden their horizons by reading materials pertaining to contemporary society and relevant themes. I say this because students frequently tell me that what's available to them is "boring" or "irrelevant". That said, since our society is ever evolving, so, its only fair to keep up with the times.
